Salmos 25

1 «[A Psalm] of David.» Unto thee,I did not put my trust in any worldly thing.O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

2 O my God, IThat you will take away my enemies, which are your rods.trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

3 So all that hope in thee, shall not be ashamed: but let them be confounded, that transgresse without cause.

4 Retain me in the faith of your promise that I swore not on any side.Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou [art] the God of my salvation; on thee do I waitConstantly and against all temptations.all the day.

6 Remember, O Lorde, thy tender mercies, and thy louing kindnesse: for they haue beene for euer.

7 Remember not theHe confesses that his many sins were the reason that his enemies persecuted him, desiring that the cause of the evil may be taken away, so that the effect may cease.sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.

8 Good and upright [is] the LORD: therefore will heThat is, call them to repentance.teach sinners in the way.

9 The meek will heHe will govern and comfort them that are truly humbled for their sins.guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

10 All the pathes of the Lorde are mercie and trueth vnto such as keepe his couenant and his testimonies.

11 For thyFor no other respect.name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it [is] great.

12 WhatMeaning, the number is very small.man [is] he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way [that] he shallHe will direct such with his spirit to follow the right way.choose.

13 His soul shall dwell atHe will prosper both in spiritual and corporal things.ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

14 TheHis counsel contained in his word, by which he declares that he is the protector of the faithful.secret of the LORD [is] with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

15 Mine eyes are euer towarde the Lorde: for he will bring my feete out of the net.

16 Turne thy face vnto mee, and haue mercie vpon me: for I am desolate and poore.

17 The troubles of my heartMy grief is increased because of my enemies cruelty.are enlarged: [O] bring thou me out of my distresses.

18 Looke vpon mine affliction and my trauel, and forgiue all my sinnes.

19 Consider mineThe greater that his afflictions were and the more that his enemies increased, the more near he felt God's help.enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

20 Keepe my soule, and deliuer me: let me not be confounded, for I trust in thee.

21 LetAs I have behaved myself uprightly toward my enemies, let them know that you are the defender of my just cause.integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

22 Deliuer Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
