Salmos 2

1 Why do theThe conspiracy of the Gentiles, the murmuring of the Jews and power of kings cannot prevail against Christ.heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2 The Kings of the earth band themselues, and the princes are assembled together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

3 Thus the wicked say that they will cast off the yoke of God and of his Christ.Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4 But he that dwelleth in the heauen, shall laugh: the Lord shall haue them in derision.

5 God's plagues will declare that in resisting his Christ, they fought against him.Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6 Euen I haue set my King vpon Zion mine holy mountaine.

7 I will declare theTo show that my calling to the kingdom is from God.decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou [art] my Son; thisThat is to say, concerning man's knowledge, because it was the first time that David appeared to be elected by God. So it is applied to Christ in his first coming and manifestation to the have I begotten thee.

8 Ask of me, and I shall give [thee] the heathen [for] thine inheritance, and theNot only the Jews but the Gentiles also.uttermost parts of the earth [for] thy possession.

9 Thou shalt krush them with a scepter of yron, and breake them in pieces like a potters vessell.

10 He exhorts all rulers to repent in time.Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serue the Lorde in feare, and reioyce in trembling.

12 In a sign of homage.Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and yeWhen the wicked will say, Peace and rest, then will destruction suddenly come, (1Th_5:3).perish [from] the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed [are] all they that put their trust in him.
